Professional photographer Colette Guste has devoured the French Quarter and New Orleans as only a native can. Part of the
Antoine's restaurant family, Colette's work has been shown in New Orleans and beyond.
Her ceramic tile art is based on digital photography -- uniting the modern and the traditional. Her photography color manipulations in prints and on ceramic tile murals showcase simple and exquisite details -- the colors of a hanging banana palm, cracks in the French Quarter's weathered brick walls, the vibrancy of a Mardi Gras marching band, the simple elegance of a lantern on a French Quarter wall.
Through her work, people everywhere are exposed to the beauty, charm, and history of New Orleans .... and native New Orleanians are made newly aware of the treasures that surround them.
